Kenny versus the Volcano II

Eric and I picked a really crappy day to go out to one of the big island's volcanic national parks. The first thing Eric said when we woke up was, "Today's going to be nice!!"

Maybe he was talking relative to San Francisco.

There was a lot of fog at the higher elevations and even some rain, but that didn't stop us from romping around like the little boys we are.

Wielding his Canon D60 like a maniac, Eric was kind enough to let me fool around with his D30 for the entire day (and he even let me touch his D60 a couple of times). The experience was enough to convince me to get one when I get back to the mainland.

There are no pictures of me here. These are mostly pictures of Eric, because, even though I hate to fuel his ego even further, he was pretty much one of the only things out there that was interesting to shoot. Eric did take some really interesting photos of yours truly. All interested should point their browser to Eric's Kona site.

The first six photos were taken with my Nikon, which has a 4:3 aspect ratio, and the rest with Eric's Canon D30, which uses a 3:2.
